Wavetools

It's not too surprising to find more than one piece software under that name. Two of these caught my attention. Both are windows compatible freeware with the basic set of Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyser and Signal Generator and some other tools...

First WaveTools:

This is a windows 3.1 and over compatible and extremely light weight application. This is a very user friendly program with good documentation, making it a good noob app. It also includes an Audio Meter to help calibrate your sound card for recording. However you must also download the VBRUN300.DLL library and insert it into your windows/system folder.

Download the app here:http://www.sonicspot.com/wavetools/wavetools.html
And the library here:vbrun300.dll free download - DLL-files.com

Second WaveTools:

This is a win98 and over compatible sophisticated app. It has no documentation but offers many more features(including a grid for measurement), all setup like a normal oscilloscope. Not recommended for inexperienced users (but useful for more advanced users). Download from download.cnet.com.
